Car care
Car care liquids are products specifically designed to clean, maintain, and protect various parts of a vehicle, both inside and outside. These liquids serve different purposes and come in various formulations, each with its unique physical properties. Viscosity refers to a product’s thickness or resistance to flow. Car care products can have different viscosity levels depending on their purpose and method of application. The same filling machine is compatible with a wide range of viscous and foaming formulations (foaming is associated to cleaning or dirt removal):
Thin and Foaming. Products with low viscosity flow easily, like water-based cleaners and spray solutions.
High viscosity. Thick products, such as gels or pastes, cling to surfaces for longer contact time and improved effectiveness.
Stain removers or hard cleaners also contain bleach and acids to increase their formula efficiency while others usually contain low levels of alcohol in the formula (ATEX).
Consumers are becoming increasingly environmentally conscious, leading to a surge in demand for eco-friendly packaging options. Car care brands are exploring alternatives to single-use plastic bottles, such as using recycled plastic materials or transitioning to biodegradable and compostable materials.
Refill stations and concentrate refills gained traction as a sustainable solution to reduce plastic waste. Some car care brands offered refill pouches or concentrated formulations that could be used to replenish existing spray bottles, encouraging customers to reuse their bottles rather than buying new ones.
Safety is a paramount concern for car care products, especially those that contain potentially hazardous substances. Child-resistant closures are gaining popularity as they offer an added layer of protection to prevent young children from accessing harmful contents.
